Technical Assistant / Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following:

• To assist in installation and maintenance of machines applying engineering principles.
• To assist in working with power producing as well as power generating equipment.
• To assist in troubleshooting and maintenance engineering process of machines and engines.
• To study and analyze blue prints, technical drawings drawn with hand as well as computers and schematics.
• To examine reasons of machine failure and produce relevant reports under supervision.
• To address questions, concerns and issues that arise during maintenance process to relevant engineers.
• To generate presentations and reports for customers and internal management.
• To participate in materials and spare parts ordering process.
• To send measuring/testing equipment for calibration on time and maintain register.
• To support technical team in administrative organizations.
• To support team lead with other documents which are not listed above. Read, understand and implement all applicable company/project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that all works associated with the role is completed safely and to a high standard.
• To undertake responsibility to comply with all the Occupation Health and Safety requirements applied within the company.

Education/Experience and Qualification:

• Batchelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• A master degree in engineering is preferable but may not be essential.
• Knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and other mechanical engineering concepts.
• Excellent math skills, including advanced geometry and physics
• Familiarity with CAD and other mechanical design software
• Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Great interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication in Azerbaijan and English languages
• Ability to work under pressure
