Duties & Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Reporting to the Commercial Director the Sales Representative will work closely with across a number of functional teams to coordinate activities in managing relationship with joint -venture partners, lead gas commercialization analysis, support Project Profit/Risk Analysis etc.
  • This will include, but is not limited, to the following:
  • Works directly with appropriate BD personnel to understand and develop business concepts, objectives and approach.
  • Takes assigned project from original concept through final implementation.
  • Economic valuation of projects
  • Defines project scope and objectives.
  • Creates and maintains project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time requirements, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project product/service lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts. This includes documenting, prioritizing and tracking requests (changes, enhancements, etc.)
  • Assesses and prepares to address the operational impacts, workflow, training, etc. issues of a project.
  • Develops tactical and strategic product, services and/or programs to support the business unit’s goals (financial, quality, production, customer service, operational efficiency, market share, etc.). 
  • Reviews, analyzes, and creates detailed documentation of business systems and user needs, including workflow, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify business operational-financial models
  • Consults with BD personnel to determine business, functional and technical requirements for specified applications.
  • Support in preparation of Annual Work Program and Budget
  • Upstream opportunities Profit/Risk Analysis
  • Identify opportunities to improve best practice and implement.
  • Compile and distribution of business and cost reports and data
  • Analyses variances in cost and schedule performance against plan, and communicates the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
  • Coordinates the review of Project Profit/Risk Analysis with management and provides status reporting
  • Participates in weekly/monthly project cost reviews/schedule meetings
  • Mitigates any potential Commercial risk within the boundaries of the core Contract terms and conditions
  • Analyzes the business unit’s activities and trends and compares analyses against the service standards and best practices. Presents findings and works with the Business Unit Leader and other personnel to identify and implement strategies that will address tactical and strategic goals.
  • Prepares routine reports (financial, quality, production, customer service, operational efficiency, market share, etc.).
  • Analyzes trends and recommends adjustments address and/or capitalize on trends.
  • Scheduling, including ability to analyses schedules and develop recovery plans
  • Reviews enquiry documentation and submitted qualifications from submitted tender documents and final awarded Contract document
  • Additional tasks as requested
  • To maintain total confidentiality
  • To perform other tasks, as requested

Education/Experience and Qualification:

  • An undergraduate degree in Finance or Economics as a minimum is expected.
  • Experience in dealing with joint venture partners, undertaking gas commercialization and gas sales contracts, and in preparing and delivering annual work programs and budgets is expected.
  • Experience in dealing with complex commercial and legal issues would be an advantage.
  • Proven minimum 3-5 years’ experience in commercial area in upstream oil and gas industry is required
  • Interpersonal skills with focused attention on business needs to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Azerbaijan and English and Russian languages,
  • Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant’s experience or skills.
