Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • To carry out the tasks of the Head of resource mobilization, fundraising and marketing development projects;
  • To support the activities of the head of resource mobilization, fundraising and marketing development projects;
  • Taking into account market research, market trends and the current economic situation in the country to attract resources (financial and material) from individual donors, local communities/ population and the corporate sector, including digital platforms;
  • To provide assistance to staff and volunteers responsible for resource mobilization, fundraising and marketing in the regions;
  •  To develop partnership programs with small and medium-sized business entities, providing general strategy direction, materials, key information, communication plans, etc.;
  • To coordinate the work of AzRCS departments in order to develop fundraising in communities;
  • To prepare and update materials to be used to increase AzRCS brand awareness; as well as project proposals related to fundraising and marketing, speeches and presentations for partners, sponsors and donors;
  • Regularly monitor the market and promote individual (including digital) donations in order to find new opportunities and options for cooperation with the corporate sector;
  • To conduct meetings with Corporate Donors and maintain regular contact with them;
  • To establish mutually beneficial relationships, including maintaining existing strategic relationships with foreign partners and within the Movement. To represent AzRCS among potential major donors via presentations, projects, cooperative events, etc.
  • To present best practices, new trends and innovations in marketing, e-commerce and fundraising, as well as in new areas of interest for corporate partners and individual donations.  To explore the experience of other Partner National Societies and charity organizations in the field of corporate fundraising;
  • To support the dissemination of information about public relations campaigns and ongoing projects of AzRCS;
  • To provide high quality and timely reports in accordance with contracts and established deadlines;
  • To prepare requests for emergency donation campaigns during disasters in close cooperation with all structural units of AzRCS;
  • To ensure compliance with AzRCS ethical fundraising principles;

Education and experience required:

  • University degree (preferred: marketing, sales, communication, international relations)
  • Experience in Sales or marketing, public relations, working with corporate partners/sponsors, sales (2 years and more)
  • Experience in building strong relationships with partners, sponsors, customers and stakeholders

Experience and skills preferred:

  • MBA in sales, commercial or marketing
  • Work experience in fundraising for an organization
  • Experience in developing high quality project proposals and marketing products
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies
  • Experience in drafting, implementing and managing projects
  • Experience in drafting, developing and applying for grants for major projects

Desirable knowledge and skills:

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Experience representing the organization outside the organization and public speaking skills
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • CRM / ERP
  • Fluently spoken and written Azerbaijani language
