Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Drive official vehicle as per schedule in Azerbaijan as well as abroad when needed in safe, reliable and secure manner, fully abiding all traffic regulations
  • Meet official visitors at the airport when required 
  • Log official trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption, transportation/ vehicle related expenditures, vehicle servicing, repairs, etc. and submitting logs to the Finance and Admin Officer on a timely basis
  • Ensure day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle; perform minor repairs and timely arrange for any other repairs necessary to keep the vehicle safe and technically sound at all times; maintain the vehicle in clean conditions
  • Handle local and organizational formalities when involved in an accident
  • Collect and deliver mail, documents, pouches, and other communications items from and to the office
  • Assist in fulfilling vehicle management and maintenance related tasks 
  • When needed, assist the Azerbaijan country team staff in performing clerical duties such as making and answering telephone calls, making photocopies, keeping records, prepare and complete various forms 
  • Arrange procurement of office and pantry supplies 
  • Assist Finance and Admin Officer in payment of bills
  • Assist Finance and Admin Officer in overseeing the maintenance of office inventory on a regular basis, conduct and finalize overall inventory update. 
  • Assume full responsibility for the customs clearance processes  
  • Ensure full accountability and high autonomy in execution of the role. 
  • To contribute to supply chain service improvement, good practice, continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Program and Operations manager and/or head of country cluster.

Duties applicable to all staff:

  • Actively work towards the achievement of the Federation Secretariat’s goals 
  • Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross and Red Crescent principles
  • Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager.

Position Requirements:

Education:

  • Secondary education
  • Relevant post-secondary training or diploma (preferred)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in driving
  • Valid international driving licence (manual gears)
  • Previous experience working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Clean driving record
  • Previous experience within RCRC (preferred)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer Literate: Knowledge of Word, Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Flexibility
  • Accuracy and fine attention to detail
  • Organised and self-starter in work prioritising
  • Tact and diplomacy

Languages:

  • Fluently spoken and written Azerbaijani
  • Good command of English
  • Good command of Russian (preferred)
