Responsibilities:

• Designs the overall technological architecture and technical design of the product with the help of the team and coaches the technical team, specifically with code reviews
• Be hands on and engage in coding to help the team to develop his solution and solve all surfacing problems at hand Identifies and removes technical impediments
• Guides project teams on technology strategy related to coding practices, continuous integration and automated deployment with deeply understanding reliability and cybersecurity requirement 
• Hires, assesses performance, prevents attrition and fires engineering talents
• Works with CEO and Product Owner to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack
• Constantly looking for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid of challenging the status quo
• Provides the team a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices for higher code quality
• Shares responsibility with Product Owner for building reusable and scalable components

Experience, Competencies and Skills Required:

• 5+ years in senior engineering roles working with product development teams, delivering and building digital products – while remaining hands-on 
• An expert within the technical components and business processes in payments and FinTech 
• Can make architecture decisions at a team and product level
• Be able to code and architect front and back end solutions with multiple types or architecture 
• An expert in product development for web, mobile and services with hands on experience coding in with web 
• Seasoned developer or technical lead with deep insight into newest technologies and trends, Java/JVM and nice to have experience with functional programming (Scala)
• An expert in Agile software development methodologies and processes including CI, CD, TDD and BDD
• Understands relationship with Product Owner, Scrum Master, Design Lead  and rest of technical team and Experience managing technical priorities within the Backlog
• An front-end software expert (JavaScript\TypeScript, React, NodeJS)
• Extensive experience working with teams using DevOps and continuous delivery with focus on delivering rapid customer value
• Experience with development and integration activity from API (REST, OpenAPI\Swagger, API Gateways)
• Experience with infrastructure automation and application containerization – on prem and public cloud
• Familiar with production Cloud / DevOps environments and cybersecurity
• Acknowledged as an industry expert in key technology areas and building large scale digital products (scalable to millions of customer)
• Influences and sets goals for digital product architecture and technologies at organizational level
• A track record of hiring, onboarding, and developing engineering and product teams.
• Natural problem solver in the technical domain
• Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize the team’s potential
• Owning the budget for engineering capability building and managing vendors
• High energy and passionate individual who inspires teammates to reach their
  maximum potential
• Excited about trying new solutions outside standard approved
