Roles & Responsibilities:

- Ensure of all projects are technically fit for purpose from a process engineering perspective and meet the statutory requirements.
- Technical review and comment design deliverables for all stages: Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design Execute to ensure compliance to KOC engineering standards and practices
- Report on project process engineering technical scope performance against the baseline plan and stated benefits of the project.
- Identify the process engineering deliverables, based on the scope agreed by the Engineering Manager, and use these as a basis to assist in the provision the project estimates and project execution plan which will form part of the EP submission pack.
- Review and comment Contractor Process Engineering Cost, Time and Resource (CTR) Catalogue for projects.
- Contribute to Basis for Design, Basis of Design, and Project Specifications/Philosophies.
- Technical review and expediting as required of Design Contractor deliverables related to process engineering. This includes engineering related to Contractor deliverables (e.g. Process Simulations Models, 3D Model, Flare & Blowdown Simulations, etc.); and procurement and Vendor management (e.g. datasheets, specifications, package contents list, Heat & Material Balance (H&MB) tables, Process/Utility Flow Schemes and Control Narrative, etc.) to ensure conformity to KOC Standards
- Technical review of Sizing calculations for Process Equipment and Relief Valves.
- Technical review of Line Hydraulics and provide/review Inputs to Line Listing.
- Responsible for providing the process engineering support to the Engineering Manager to ensure that the project will deliver the required benefits and is fit for purpose.
- Review and approve 3rd party process engineering content as required. Responsible for ensuring that all process engineering technical scope change is agreed with the Engineering Manager prior to implementation through the life of the project.
- Work with the project planner to agree process engineering resource requirements and milestones and to monitor progress against them.
- Provide process engineering support to the cost controller to allow the generation of estimates at project commencement and for any potential scope change.
- Facilitate the generation of the process engineering risks and mitigations for project risk register, (including 3rd part risk registers) and their ongoing management.
- Ensure that any 3rd party process engineering contractors adhere to the overall project quality plan provided by the capital projects manager throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work with the project engineering manager to ensure the appropriate contract is in place for any for any 3rd party contractors. This will typically be NEC forms of contract for professional and third part services.
- Ensure that all identified contractors are suitably pre-qualified/ assured for the delivery of the project. Any other duties commensurate with the role.
- Manage Process Inputs to Design Contractor deliverables related to process engineering. This includes engineering related to Contractor deliverables (e.g. Material Selection Report, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Instrument Data Sheets, Alarm & Trip Setting, Hazardous Area Classification Schedule etc.).
- To ensure proper division of work & responsibility among the process engineers, providing proper guidance & integration of work done, ensuring good, positive & healthy working nature among the team of engineers to ensure optimum productivity & efficiency.
- Perform other tasks and duties required by Engineering Manager.
