Sr. Structural Engineer

Education (level and type): BS degree in Structural Engineer.

Work Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant, offshore, oil and gas, experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in either a senior engineering position in the oil and gas sector and at least 5 years in engineering role.

Skils (soft/technical skills): SESAME, STAAD Pro, MATHCAD, NAVISWORK, AUTOCAD etc

Specific knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Industry design codes especially AISC, ACI, ASCE, API, BC and Eurocodes

Language Knowledge: Azerbaijani-Excellent, English-Excellent

Professional certifications: Desirable to have registration as a chartered engineer with the Institution of Engineers, preferably at Fellow level.

Other requirements: MS degree in structural Engineer is an advantage; management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Competently review and comment design deliverables for all stages: Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design Execute
2) Competently review and comment on vendor data for a wide range of equipment and packages and, demonstrate the ability to plan and implement design activities to allow timely availability of and incorporation of vendor information into the design
3) Competently prepare proposals and reports, schedule and plan work effectively and, consistently complete work within budgeted hours
4) Provide resolutions complex engineering issues and problems and provide cost effective solutions
5) Proactive approach in managing design activities to reduce overall project costs and durations
6) Initiate and participate in short-range and/or long-range planning and make independent decisions on engineering policies and procedures within the overall program
7) Provide technical support and input to the procurement team with regards to any packages ordered for structural materials
8) Review bid documents from Contractors and preparation of evaluation reports
9) Perform other tasks and duties required by Engineering Manager

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1) Ability to coordinate, Design, Analysis and implementation of Structural engineering activities
2) Experience in design, construction and remediation requirements of offshore facilities
3) Experience in design and engineering to minimize field installation and commissioning activities
4) Capable of assessing conceptual solutions to structural engineering problems and improvements within the social and economic constraints
5) Knowledge and experience in the engineering of structural supports for vessels, packaged equipment, large rotating equipment and pipelines
6) Field experience in installation and construction activities to reduce installation time and reduce risks for safety during execution
7) Experience in checking isomeric drawings and ensuring structural supports requirements are incorporated
8) Ability/knowledge to review and checking of the technical content of 3rd party equipment packages and structural steel
