HEALTH AND SAFETY ENGINEER

ABOUT COMPANY:

Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers produces, distributes and sells sparkling and still beverages of The Coca-Cola company in Azerbaijan. Having first started in 1994, Coca-Cola bottling operations in Azerbaijan came under the roof of Coca-Cola İçecek in 2007.
Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers serves a consumer base of 10 million with 1 plant and more than 300 employees in Azerbaijan. Its product portfolio comprises Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola light, Coca-Cola zero, Bonaqua, Burn, Büyülü Bohça, Büyülü Kutu, Cappy, Doğadan, Fanta, Fuse Tea, Powerade, Sprite.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of all employees, contractors and visitors to the company
• Take part in checking equipment and devices for efficiency and safety, as well as their compliance with the sanitary-hygienic rules
• Conduct the attestation and certification of workplaces and production equipment for compliance with safety and labor protection requirements
• Provide any necessary training to managers and staff to ensure that they comply with all health and safety requirements
• Ensure the company’s health and safety performance quality complies with the legislative requirements of the Republic of Azerbaijan and internal policies and procedures of the company
• Examine workplaces, make proposals for the development of advanced designs of protective equipment and safety devices
• Participate in developing measures to prevent occupational diseases and accidents at work to improve working conditions
• Investigate and report on accidents and related incidents, recommending any changes that may be necessary, to ensure that the company complies with health and safety regulations
• Carry out a risk analysis for the company and recommend any changes that may be necessary
• Participate in the consideration of issues related to compensation by the employer in case of harm caused to employees by an injury, occupational disease or other health damage
• Prepare internal and state reports
• Establish and maintain internal consultative processes on health and safety

THE REQUIREMENTS:

• Min. 2 years of experience in related field
• University degree in Engineering
• Holding Health and Safety certificates is an advantage
• Advanced Azerbaijani and English languages (Verbal and Written)
• Advanced user in MS Office programs, especially Excel and Word
• Solid communication skills - (Verbal and Written)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Being detail-oriented
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work independently under pressure
