Director of Finance

Position Overview
 
Manage all accounting processes of property and its legal entities including Hotel/restaurants/residences. Oversee all accounting staff on a daily basis, manage workflow and assignments.  Provide training and mentoring, coaching, counseling and disciplinary action as needed.  Maintain accurate financial records and books and protect company assets.
 
Position Responsibilities
 
•         Lead and manage Accounting, Purchasing and IT staff.
•         Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
•         Analyze financial data of operations in order to advise management and to assist in maintaining an efficient operation.
•         Prepare, review and present the monthly report of Operations.
•         Prepare forecast and budgets as required (Annual, Revised Annual, Monthly, and/or on Corporate/Owner’s requests).
•         Oversee all contracts and legal agreements, and assist management in maintaining all licenses, permits, insurance and contracts.
•         Hire, train and supervise Accounting, Purchasing and IT staff including coaching, counseling and discipline.
•         Establish and audit all internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling and disbursements, inventories, resort equipment, master keys, and personnel time records.
•         Lead effort in achieving 100% compliance in the ICQ (Internal Controls Questionnaire).
•         Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications Required:

•         Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
•         Minimum five years’ experience as a Director of Finance in a hotel.
•         Opening experience with luxury hotels is highly desirable.
•         Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting
•         Experience using computer accounting, payroll, time and attendance and PMS systems.
•         Strong public speaking skills, interpersonal and written communication skills.
•         Outstanding attention to detail, organization, decision making and analytical skills.
•         Advanced knowledge/skills in use of computers and software programs associated with Property Operations.
•         Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours and weekends as necessary.
•         Proven problem-solving skills and encourage new innovative solutions when appropriate.
