Assistant Director of Housekeeping
 
Reporting to and under the direction of Director of Housekeeping. Manages and co-ordinates the housekeeping operation of the hotel.  Ensuring that the product is meeting the quality standards set by Trump International Hotel and according to hotel and business objectives.
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Assist Director of Housekeeping in ensuring cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms in accordance with federal, local and company health, sanitation and safety standards
• Plan, distribute, delegate and direct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual work assignments
• Inspect public areas and guest rooms to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards
• Assist Director of Housekeeping in the administration of systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, inventory control, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation
• Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
• Recruit, interview and train team members
• Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for team members and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
• Follows up on maintenance repairs and co-ordinates with Maintenance department to ensure hotel service quality standards are met.
 
Qualifications:

• Previous leadership experience required
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
• University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Good working command of English language, both spoken and written
