The HSE Engineer is responsible for HSE supervision of overall site activities, construction and enabling works and prepares related reports for the Project Manager.

Key Accountabilities:    

• Review and Approval of HSE Policy of Contractors and Subcontractors.
• Work Permit Requests reviews and approvals, regular checking and tagging of Scaffoldings on site.
• Ensure the implementation of environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Support all senior managers to embed safety and an environmentally friendly attitude into their everyday activities, cascading this to all levels. Become the advocate and point of contact for HSE advice.
• Assist senior managers in the analysis of accidents, near misses, safety spots and environmental accidents and document the results.
• Proactively contribute to the management meetings of the site providing HSE data.

Desired background:    

• Experience in Hotel or Hospitality construction projects
• Good command of English, both written and spoken

Required skills:  

• Degree in civil or industrial engineering
• Strong knowledge of Local and International Safety regulations
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering projects (hotel construction)
• Strong planning and organization skills
• Client/Developer side experience is preferable
