Requirements:

• High school diploma; specialization courses in management or chemistry (desirable)
• Minimum 1-year experience in a large high-profile guest related property; hotel property (desirable)
• Knowledge of MS Office (essential)
• Knowledge of local HSE legislation and main important international standards on HSE
• Able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization; 
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner;
• Good planning and organizational skills.

Job Duties:

To play role in the smooth and efficient running of the Finance Department.

• Investigate accidents, incidents & unsafe work practices related to the Hotel & other activities (internally & externally) related to the Hotel, including incidents involving contractors & other parties. Study possible causes, recommend remedial action & other appropriate action & follow up as appropriate.
• Carry out the risk assessments in all areas of the Hotel premises and actively identify potential risks and create awareness among the associates and management.
• Ensure preparation and implementation of HSE policies, rules and procedures which will enable the Company to comply with Azerbaijan Legislation;
• Initiate & apply policies & strategies which are dictated by senior management & company policy.
• To enforce internal control Policy and Procedure throughout the hotel.
• Examine health & safety related documentation & records to ensure compliance with regulations, standards & good practice
• Provide recommendations to meet health & safety regulations, standards & good practice.
• As required, meet & liaise with enforcement officers & other officials from external organizations.
• Promote good health and safety practices within the organization and develop safer and healthier ways of working.

• Ensure that the organization is aware of, and complies with, all legislation in relation to the use of its plant, equipment and substances, as well as in all workplace activities.
• Observe & report on emergency procedures, drills, practices, etc.
• Communicate frequently with management to report on the status of health and safety.
• Assist with the development of health and safety systems, including standards, policies, procedures, guidance, manuals, etc.
• Organize the HSE training plan for the employees and supervise the implementation;
• Organize or participate in the HSE accident or incident investigation and reporting;
•  As directed assist with training which could include training sessions for management, supervisors and associates on health and safety practices and legislation.
• Identify and examine work areas for potential accident and health hazards & advise on appropriate control measures.
• Ensure that the organization is aware of, and complies with, all legislation in relation to the use of its plant, equipment and substances, as well as in all workplace activities.
