Vehicle requirements:

  • The vehicle should be registered in accordance with local legislation requirements.
  • Full insurance (third party liability insurance of motor vehicles, as well as CASCO insurance) should be valid at all times. The driver must provide a written confirmation of insurance for SES Activity files.
  • The vehicle must be produced not earlier than 2010, in excellent technical condition:
  • Number of seats – at least 5.
  • Number of doors – at least 4.
  • Four-wheel drive is an advantage
    • Safety - must be equipped with seat belts and airbags (at least six).
  • The vehicle must be regularly inspected. The service provider must provide a written confirmation (copy) of the regular technical inspection.
  • Car must be clean and tidy on the inside, and clean outside when passengers board or when SES Activity equipment or furniture is being transported.

Competencies:

  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle/facilities/equipment/furniture repair.
  • Demonstrates a client-oriented approach, has a high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact, honesty, and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.
  • Takes ownership of responsibilities and delivers outputs within prescribed time.
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Recognizing and complying to safe driving requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Secondary education. Valid driver’s license.
  • Driving experience not less than 5 years.
  • At least 2 years of working as a driver with safe driving records. Excellent knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair.
  • At least 2 years of experience in provision of logistics/assistance and facility management support for an organization.  Experience in donor-funded organizations/projects is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Azerbaijan roads, regions, locations of government institutions, state agencies and committees, international and local organizations, restaurants, and hotels.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in Azerbaijani is a must; working knowledge of English and ability to communicate with English-speaking passengers is an advantage. Knowledge of Russian is an asset.
