KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing the sourcing and procurement of categories including teaching resources and related projects, equipment, supplies, furniture, and corporate services for the school to comply with SABIS® procurement policy.
• Overseeing the compliance framework for the Purchasing Department and providing necessary training on compliance requirements including internal controls and procedures for purchasing.
• Establishing and maintaining supplier database accurately and conducting supplier performance review.
• Analysing current procurement activities and recommending improvement through more efficient procurement methods, quantity discounts, standardization, value analysis and cooperative purchasing.
• Maintaining the School stock inventory (e.g. supplies, cleaning products, other) at all times to ensure availability of stocked products
• Purchasing School furnishings and supplies including but not limited to furniture, stationary, toiletries etc. in order to centralize, ensure best cost and maintain quality and optimal quantity.
• Preparing technical specifications for request for proposals, including terms and conditions and evaluation criteria
• Preparing and developing bid documents and supplier bid lists to obtain competitive quotations on commodities and services.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate records and documentation on all solicitations, responses, purchases, contracts, correspondence and related follow up.
• Expediting outstanding purchase orders to ensure delivery requirements are met.
• Promoting and developing contact and liaison with current suppliers and identifying potential ones to improve levels of service and develop new sources of supply.
• Sourcing, negotiating prices and purchasing other items such as corporate items, school materials, student other items and stationary items.
• Forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the school needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels.
• Serving as liaison with vendors for the purpose of monitoring and consolidation of orders for better management of expenses.
• Finalizing payments for suppliers as per the school rules and regulations.
• Performing such other related tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by the SABIS® school management

SECTION IV: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

- Educational Qualifications BS/MS in Business Administration, Finance or related field
- Language Skills English is a must; local language where applicable
- Years of Experience 7+
