VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It directs and coordinates the international relief activities conducted by the Movement in situations of conflict. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles. Established in 1863, the ICRC is at the origin of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
The ICRC Delegation in Azerbaijan is seeking candidate, male or female, for the position of:
 
Data Entry Operator (Grade 4)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs various data processing on specific software and according given procedures mainly independently
• Translates written documents from local language to English/Russian and vice versa
• Executes office work (typing of standard documents, filing, photocopying etc…)
• Works under close supervision
• Ensures follow-up and updates of specific files/databases

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

• Secondary school level or technical college
• 2 years work experience in a similar field of activity
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English and Russian
• Good computer knowledge
• Capacity to adhere to and to implement procedures
• Good communication skills
• Rigor, method and analytical  skills
• Basic knowledge of other national language(s)

The position will be based at the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons (CEPOD) in Baku.
