ROLE OVERVIEW:

A leading Oil & Gas company, located in in Baku, Azerbaijan is looking for an exceptional Services Business Development Manager, reporting to VP Commercial and Business Development. A successful incumbent will be responsible to develop new business and strong and sustainable working relationships with assigned clients, developing plans and implementing growth strategies for the assigned client portfolio, developing and maintaining customer relationships for clients and prospects for providing wells support services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively manage the business development and strategic planning area.
• To define relevant business policy, strategy, tactics.
• To Identify new clients and opportunities for Drilling Rigs servises
• Manage in performing the safe and efficient delivery of all drilling support services
• Monitor tender announcements, and to inform the company’s leadership about opportunities to participate in these tenders.
• Collect, monitor and disseminate data on market trends and client needs to the leadership team.
• Fully understand client organization, their business model, goals and strategies (including leadership personnel, key initiatives, news and financials) to drive business development activities.
• Manage price negotiation, discounts, contracts, RFP’s.
• Ensure that BD activity targets are achieved and managed effectively.
• Presenting and delivering information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences.
• To ensure monthly and annual reports are prepared and submitted to the company leadership regarding business development opportunities and new projects.
• Deliver outstanding customer service. Monitor performance and resolve or escalate issues that do not meet client expectations.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

Education:

- University degree in Engineering, Science, or Business Administration.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience, at least 5 of which in Oil & Gas Industry preferably in Drilling Engineering Companies.
• Must have an understanding and general competency in areas of technical specifications, standards and requirements that relate to Drilling and engineering services.
• Industry insights and client contacts in the Drilling market is beneficial.

• Ability to lead an aggressive business expansion in a dynamic market.
• Exceptional negotiating skills along with financial acumen.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize multiple on-going projects.
