Vacancy: Lead Quality Control Engineer

Job responsibilities:

• Identify and manage competent Quality (QC) for the Project
• Receiving inspection of raw materials and components.
• Collects and analyzes data (re-work, scrap, non-conformances, and corrective actions).
• Inspects product visually along with utilizing micrometers, calipers and other inspection systems.
• Conduct non-destructive examination.
• Visual inspections search for defects in the weld such as cracks and pits.
• Measure welded products to ensure that they meet specifications for dimension.
• Interacts with manufacturing associates, vendors, source inspectors and auditors on a consistent basis.
• Prepares First Article Inspection Reports.
• Performs calibrations and keeps up with calibration schedules.
• Interacts with multiple departments to ensure compliance.
• Follows, creates and updates all applicable policies and procedures.
• Participates in annual internal audits.
• Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and as necessary recommend adjustments or actions to obtain conforming product.
• Responsible for compliance to the documentation policy, assuring that all required documents are controlled. Ensures that correct procedures are followed, and that documentation is prepared in accordance with standards. Provide expertise on all Modules of the

Quality Management System including:

• Quality Process Management
• Data and trend analysis
• Non-Conformance
• Corrective/Preventive Actions
• Maintenance, Measurement & Monitoring and data collection
• Quality Non-conformances & Product Defect Tracking
• Identify and manage Quality related risks that may have impact on Technical Integrity.
• Provide inputs and steer to the Management of Change process.
• Liaise with OR&A team regarding implementation and verification of Flawless Project Delivery (FPD) requirements.
• Ensure compliance of all project functions, contractors and suppliers with the project Quality Management System requirements.
• Provide quality controls to the Detailed Design & Procurement contractor and Construction contractors activities in all phases of the project.
• Ensure that the plant is inspected and tested in accordance with approved project quality plans (PQP's), quality control procedures, inspection and test plans (ITP's), relevant codes, standards, etc

Qualifications/skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Technical discipline.
• 5 years relevant working experience in quality control.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and oral).
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency with MS Office word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications.
• Considerable management experience in establishment, operation and maintenance of quality management system in accordance with ISO with the capability of developing quality plans, work procedures and inspection plans.
• Capable of rigorously implementing and enforcing global standards, procedures and engineering work processes.
• Technical knowledge in materials, welding, coating/painting, NDT inspection and general construction activities.
• Experience of working to and fully familiar with codes and standards such as from AWS, ASME, ISO, API and BS codes used in oil and gas industries.
• Experience in Technical Integrity Verification (TIV) processes.
• Excellent communications and inter-personal/leadership skills are essential.
• Ability to manage the relationship with key stakeholders.
• Proven track record of result deliveries in challenging project environments
