JOB TITLE:  Re-instrumentation Project Lead

A. Basic Functions

The Project Lead is a project assignment only. The Project Lead supervises and coordinates the activities within the Azerikimya PU EP-300 unit’s re-instrumentation project. The Project Lead’s responsibilities include planning, technical execution, constructability, quality, safety, risk assessment, budgets, schedules, progress measurement, trending and resource management.

B. Responsibilities

• To assume full “ownership” of Project’s execution, managing assigned personnel and other resources to achieve a high quality product.
• To assume responsibility for the design portion of the project, to supervise assigned Design personnel, to participate in Control Systems design work tasks, including design and checking functions and to coordinate design activities to achieve a high quality product within budget and on schedule.
• To fully integrate the team, assuring smooth, timely and effective technical interface, customizing the procedures, work processes and tool to meet project requirements.
• To facilitate effective interface with the Project team, Employer and Contractor.
• To supervise and coordinate the work of involved Contractors.
• To ensure timely and complete provision of existing units’/equipment information as requested by Contractors.
• To ensure timely replies to Contractors’ requests and questions.
• To establish verification and check of Contractors’ technical deliverables.
• To establish discussions with required Azerikimya PU disciplines as required.
• To ensure that deliverable requirements are being met for the project and to institute necessary corrective action as required.
• To communicate the progress, concerns and assessed risks of the Control, Systems activities to the Project Team, the Manager of Detail Engineering, and the Discipline Manager / Chief Instrument Engineer through project status meetings, correspondence and personal dialog.
• To furnish technical guidance as required to the Project team.
• To identify and obtain any special training requirements for the team members.
• To establish and maintain a close working relationship with Construction concerning constructability, safety and deliverable requirements.

C. Other requirements

• Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages at Proficiency level.
• Instrumentation/Control Systems/Industrial Automation education.
• Instrumentation/Control Systems/Industrial Automation experience past 10 years.
• Optional: Experience in similar Re-instrumentation Projects (i.e. replacing old pneumatic system with new modern electronic control system).
