Senior Piping Engineer to work for the Project Management Team of an international oil & gas development project
(Only Azerbaijan citizens are eligible for this position)
Location : Baku, Azerbaijan
Key Responsibilities
• Check and approve piping engineering deliverables received from Engineering Contractors;
• Ensure that the Engineering Contractors submit all deliverables on time;
• Perform quality control of the Engineering Contractors’ deliverables;
• Carry out simplified and detailed piping stress analysis calculations and checks, using both manual and recognized structural engineering software;
• Cross-check and assure compliance with relevant procedures, international standards and Company General Specifications;
• Contribute to tendering process for Construction Contractors;
• Provide field engineering support during construction phase of the project
Skills / Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• Minimum 10 years of experience of work with Engineering company + Field experience in construction;
• Evidence of training in piping and layout techniques, oil & gas industry piping standards, and safety requirements for offshore installations, including explosion mitigation design;
• Competency in analytical methods used within discipline, including theoretical background for analysis programs;
• Knowledge of applicable offshore oil & gas industry codes;
• Proficiency with AVEVA E3D / PDMS, or Smart Plant design review software;
• Proficiency with Caesar II stress analysis software;
• Competency in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work;
• Experience in pipe fabrication and installation;
• Experience in construction engineering support activities;
• Fluency in English
