Position:         Accounts Payable & Receivable Accountant

JOB DUTIES

• Collect, check and approve documents related to creditors;
• Identify inaccuracies and discrepancies in documents and resolution of emerging problems;
• Reconcile documents using a three-way reconciliation technique with subsequent downloading into the system;
• Make documents ready for payment and submit for payment;
• Verify creditor balances and control their accuracy;
• Analyze creditor accounts;
• Prepare creditor accounts reconciliation reports and submit to creditors;
• Liaise with creditors and responding to their inquiries;
• Prepare monthly creditor reports;
• Provide help to draw up monthly balance accounts;
• Submit documents required for external audit.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS 

Functional

• Experience of working with the SAP Accountancy Program is desirable.

Behavioral 

• Ability to professionally communicate at all levels in the organization;
• Ability to efficiently work as a team member and individually;
• Ability to maintain deadlines and work strenuous working conditions.

Education & experience

• Higher education in accounting and finance; a master’s degree in relevant discipline will be highly appreciated;
• Minimum a 2-year experience of working for production/construction companies with creditors is a must; experience/knowledge of general accountancy (taxes, IFRS etc.) is desirable;
• Advanced knowledge of Azerbaijani and English; knowledge of Russian is an advantage.
