Job Title – Piping Design Supervisor
Location – Baku

In March 2015 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and KBR announced an agreement to establish a new engineering and support services company in Azerbaijan. The legal entity name of the new company is SOCAR-KBR LLC and provides design, engineering, technical, procurement, construction supervision and project management services for projects across the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas sectors, in the Azerbaijan – Georgia – Turkey (AGT) region. The key objective of this strong partnership is to create a world class Azerbaijan-based EPCm services company that will utilize the strength of both organizations and deliver top quality results by utilizing, developing and promoting Azerbaijani national content. The company has a long term commitment from both organisations.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
• Under broad direction, supervises and leads a group of engineers.
• Provides technical direction over a group and is responsible for employee performance appraisals and for coaching and developing lower level professionals.
• Plans, budgets, organizes, and controls an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program or an entire engineering program of moderate scope.
• Job role is responsible for a measurable asset such as an assigned staff and budget.
• Support to the Piping discipline in delivery of their assigned scope of work
Qualifications:
• HNC or BEng Degree in an Engineering related subject
Experience Required:
• Experience in platform topsides Piping layout/design and skilled in 3D modelling software
• 15 plus years of experience in piping design / layout in Offshore Platform Topsides in Oil and Gas processing related industries involving all areas from conceptual front end through to Engineering and site fabrication.
