Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed stress analysis of piping systems using industry-standard software and methodologies.
  • Review and interpret project specifications, codes, and standards to ensure compliance in piping designs.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate piping systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Develop and review piping material specifications, data sheets, and design documentation.
  • Perform pipe support design and ensure proper selection and sizing of supports.
  • Conduct thermal and structural analysis of piping systems under various operating conditions.
  • Participate in design reviews, hazard and operability studies (HAZOP), and other project-related meetings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to piping stress and support systems.
  • Interface with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to address technical queries and provide technical support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Piping Stress Engineer (min 7 yrs.), with a minimum of 2 years in a Senior role .
  • Proficient in using industry-standard stress analysis software (e.g., CAESAR II).
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1,ASMEB31.4&31.8, API 610, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of piping materials, fabrication, and construction practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Chartered or Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management and execution processes.
  • Willingness to stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in brownfield and greenfield settings.
