ACE Project

The Azeri Central East (ACE) project is a new Production, Drilling, Quarters (PDQ) fixed platform located in the existing Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field within Azerbaijan’s territorial waters of the Caspian Sea. The new facility will complement existing West Chirag and ACG Full Field Development (FFD) production and will be located between the Central Azeri (CA) and East Azeri (EA) facilities in ~137 m water depth.

The ACE facility will include a mast equipment package drilling rig and a single, two phase, production train that will carry out gas / liquid separation and export comingled crude oil and produced water to the existing Sangachal Terminal. Separated dry ACE gas is compressed for injection into the EA crest, with excess dry gas exported to CA for further injection into the reservoir or exporting to the Sangachal Terminal.  An interstage draw off from the gas injection compressor provides gas lift for the ACE wells. In addition, there are a number of brownfield topsides modifications to the existing ACG facilities associated with the ACE project. These include modifications on EA-PDQ, to provide spare power and the primary telecommunications link to ACE and on CA-CWP, to handle ACE export gas.
