Control Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Be the prime Company point of contact for the operational site;
• To maximize the Company system availability and therefore minimize any lost production caused by failure of the Company systems;
• Build and maintain close professional working relationships with Company operations, Engineering and Company staff;
• At all times the Site Engineer shall ensure that safe working practices are followed;
• Portray a “can do attitude”, but have the confidence to push back if in any doubt;
• Be the prime Company point of contact for the operational sites and will pay particular attention to Management of Change in order to ensure that the effect of any changes to the operational system are fully considered. This will require very close liaison with Company “Projects” activities;
• Maintain a close working relationship with other Company engineers working at other Caspian sites, therefore enabling a “One system” engineering/maintenance is achieved for all the  Integrated Control and Safety system  (ICSS) installed in the Caspian;
• Liaise closely with site control room staff to optimize plant performance by efficient use of ICSS functionality;
• Prepare, implement and forward manage all ICSS healthcare procedures and processes (e.g. taking back-ups, standard recovery instructions etc.);
• Ensure correct process has been followed prior to implementation of any changes and will physically perform and record all updates to software;
• Perform Routine Maintenance on ICSS as per maintenance plan and work instructions;
• Log and report any abnormal system performance;
• Monitor performance of routine maintenance performed by local engineers;
• As directed by Company Operations, train engineers in the corrective and routine maintenance requirements for the ICSS;
• Perform maintenance reviews to establish the completeness and efficiency of the ICSS routine maintenance programs;
• Closely liaise with Company equivalents on other Caspian Assets support and seek/provide assistance as required;
• Manage, maintain, and replenish all spares necessary to support the proposed maintenance regime, remedial maintenance and repairs in the event of breakdown;
• Monitor equipment performance, act to correct any faults diagnosed, and provide reports of equipment performance;
• Audit and ensure that the Company P1 spares are secure and in good condition and that any used parts are replace.
