POSITION: QA/QC Inspector

LOCATION: Baku-Azerbaijan

START DATE: ASAP

WORKING SCHEDULE: 5 days/week 

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE: Oilfield Manufacturing / Inspection

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• API Thread Gauging - the casing/tubing connections is measured to verify that they are within the API tolerance using various API gauges such as thread taper, lead and depth.
• MPI/LPT Connections to identify any cracks
• API Drifting (full-length) - an API specifications drift is run through the full-length bore of each length of casing and tubing in order to check for mashed or dented areas along the body.
• Visual Thread Inspection (VTI) - visually inspection for any damages such as dents, corrosion, galled threads, etc. on (thoroughly cleaned) both pin and box ends.
• Visual Body Inspection (VBI) - a thorough visual inspection of noticeable external damages inflicted on the pipes such as damages caused during handling of pipes like dents and mashes or from other types of flags, e.g. external corrosion, laps and straightness.
• Provide quality assurance, quality control, technical and Code / Regulatory technical support for capital projects and the TA Maintenance group.
• Review engineering work packages for material selection, weld procedure acceptance, specification and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, maintain and/or control Quality Records, inspection reports, integrity assessments, non-conformance reports and other necessary documentation for pressure equipment and piping.
• Review Quality turnover packages to ensure that all records and reports meet Companys turnover package requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:

• Experience coordinating sub-Contractors' inspection activities and accepting QC inspection records in accordance with national/international & client specifications
• Ensure that the job is done as per Client requirements and standards and certify the quality of work done
• Inspection of instruments, and calibration records

Education: Relevant degree or diploma holder with
Experience:  5+ years of experience in oil and gas, power, or chemicals projects 
Language skills:  Good command of English, with Azeri/Russian languages would be advantageous.
