Job Description:

Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the purchasing activities of the organization to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely procurement of goods and services. This role requires strategic planning, supplier management, and cross-departmental collaboration to support the company’s operational and financial objectives. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Establish policies and procedures to streamline procurement processes.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure value for money.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Manage the procurement cycle from requisition to delivery.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Mitigate risks by analyzing market trends, supplier reliability, and potential disruptions.
  • Conduct cost analyses to identify savings opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement metrics, budget performance, and market trends.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve high performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software (1C or similar).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP is preferred.
