Job Title IT Security Manager
Key accountabilities
• Define and document IT Security Policies to promote secure working practices and to protect data
• Lead security architect for the full range of Technology systems required for the European Games, including internal corporate and external cloud-based systems and mobile applications
• Liaise internally within the organisation to ensure effective communication of IT security messages
• Assess in-house and third-party systems; carry out risk assessments to determine the risk profile of systems
• Define/agree the technical and procedural security controls necessary to mitigate risks to an acceptable level
• Manage the third-party supplier responsible for delivering IT Security Services, including the scoping, facilitation and review of security penetration tests and actively progressing closure of remediation activities
• Manage the design, implementation and operation of the security tools, such as anti-virus and security event monitoring
• Establish strong collaborative working relationships with third-party suppliers in order to fulfil the remit
• Games-time Technology Operations Centre role
• Other duties may be assigned as required
Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
• Significant knowledge and experience of Information and IT Security gained through a similar role within a corporate or Games environment
• Working knowledge of common security standards such as ISO27001; certification to CISM and CISSP advantageous
• Comprehensive understanding of security architectures and infrastructure components, including design, implementation and operation of firewalls, IDS/IPS, PKI, Active Directory and Group Policy, VPN, end-point security, security event monitoring, identity management etc.
• Experience of technology delivery within a fast-paced work environment
• Excellent organisational skills to monitor progress of technical deliverables and achieve closure of key technical issues
