Job Title: Venue Logistics Manager (Short Term)

Key accountabilities 

• Work directly with designated BEGOC Functions to identify their scope for  Venue services at all competition and non-competition venues within the Cluster
• Work directly and closely with all LOG functions to achieve the desired level of service to each Venue/
• Manage a small team of VLM’s and DVLM’s providing coaching, training and direction to the team
• Monitor detailed shipping and ground transportation schedules for purchased FF&E from suppliers to point of delivery.
• Develop with Distribution, Delivery Route Guides for each venue
• In collaboration with the Logistics Warehouse and Support Services team, assist in coordinating and receiving of shipments in and out of the Games Logistics Centre.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required 

• Experience in practical operations of Venue Logistics
• Experience of working with or for 3rd party service providers
• Flexible attitude and being able to adapt to rapid change
• People skills and managing relationships across numerous functions
• Understanding of key performance drivers in the supply chain and proven track record of delivering cost effective yet service oriented results
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced, multi-level, project based environment with emphasis on timelines and delivery of projects on-time and in-budget.
• Excellent programme management skills
