Job Title: Technical Manager – Systems Integration

Key accountabilities 

• Technical lead working with third-party supplier(s) responsible for delivering Results Distribution systems (including the Games-time website) and other Enterprise Applications as applicable.
• Assurance of technical designs to validate that they are fit-for-purpose and align with BEGOC technical strategy & architecture.
• Support definition of non-functional requirements for performance, availability and capacity.
• Plan, co-ordinate and support testing to validate implemented solution and that non-functional requirements are met.
• Provide quality assurance for installation and configuration activities carried out by internal teams and third-parties.
• Establish strong, collaborative working relationships with third party suppliers in order to fulfil the remit.
• Ensure suitable monitoring capabilities are in place for the key components of the Results Distribution infrastructure and Games-time website.
• Carry out risk assessment of supplier solutions and ensure key risks are identified and mitigated.
• Additionally provide assistance and technical advice to the infrastructure and architecture teams for other projects.
• Drive the establishment of detailed operational processes and procedures, for use in monitoring and maintaining operation of the systems and for dealing with incidents or changes arising.
• Games-time Technology Operations Centre role.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required 

• Technology management experience.
• Knowledge of wide range of technologies in areas such as websites and web applications, mobile apps, web services, enterprise messaging systems, SOA, EAI, HA & DR, performance and load testing.  
• Good understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, VPNs, network protocols, NAT, DHCP.
• Experience with SaaS, cloud-based testing, public/private cloud-based solutions, virtualisation.
• Good understanding of security architecture, controls and best practice.
• Experience of technology delivery within a fast-paced work environment.
• Broad knowledge of the design, implementation and operation of IT and Enterprise Architecture in mission-critical environments.
• Experience of large infrastructures supporting > 1000 users and adherence to strict change and incident management disciplines.
• Supplier management experience.
• Excellent organisational skills to monitor progress of technical deliverables and achieve closure of key technical issues.
• Previous Games experience in a similar role preferred but not essential, including good working knowledge of Games-critical systems such as Results Distribution and Games-time website.
• Good English language skills.
