Description:
- Place orders for products and authorize payments.
- Manage inventory, which involves overseeing current stock levels and coordinating new deliveries.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of purchase orders.
- Conduct research to explore potential item selections and stay informed about market trends.
- Negotiate with suppliers/manufacturers to obtain favourable pricing, desired quantities, and appropriate delivery timeframes.
- Engage with suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as operations and finance teams to understand their requirements and ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement best practices, and stay updated with industry trends.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance based on indicators, such as quality, delivery reliability, cost, and responsiveness, and taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Execute any other tasks or projects assigned by the manager related to your respective department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or Management is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in the related area.
- Proven communication, negotiations and interpersonal skills.
- MS Office skills and other stock management software and systems.
