Description:

  • Place orders for products and authorize payments.
  • Manage inventory, which involves overseeing current stock levels and coordinating new deliveries.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of purchase orders.
  • Conduct research to explore potential item selections and stay informed about market trends.
  • Negotiate with suppliers/manufacturers to obtain favourable pricing, desired quantities, and appropriate delivery timeframes.
  • Engage with suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as operations and finance teams to understand their requirements and ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement best practices, and stay updated with industry trends.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance based on indicators, such as quality, delivery reliability, cost, and responsiveness, and taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Execute any other tasks or projects assigned by the manager related to your respective department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or Management is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the related area.
  • Proven communication, negotiations and interpersonal skills.
  • MS Office skills and other stock management software and systems.
