Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and implementation of a new payroll system, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and objectives;
  • Work closely with stakeholders and the project team to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives;
  • Act as the connection between IT, HR, finance, and other departments for the duration of the project;
  • Develop a detailed project plan using project management tools such as MS Project, and monitor progress to ensure project is delivered on time and within budget;
  • Organize and lead Scrum events, ensuring that the Agile principles are adhered to in the project execution;
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project;
  • Create, maintain, and update comprehensive project documentation using tools like Confluence;
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans;
  • Provide training and support to end users, ensuring the efficient use of the new system;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors;
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals;
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques;
  • Utilize Jira for issue tracking and sprint planning;
  • Evaluate and assess the results of the project after completion, identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, Master’s degree or PMP certification preferred;
  • Proven working experience as a project manager in the information technology sector;
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies;
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework;
  • Expertise in project management tools, specifically Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and MS Project;
  • Profound knowledge of payroll systems, financial processes, and labor regulations;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management;
  • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills;
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively;
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.

Working Conditions:

  • This role requires standard office hours, but additional hours may be necessary as project deadlines approach. Travel to meet with vendors, stakeholders, or team members may occasionally be required.
