Finance Manager, Azerbaijan

Japan Tobacco International (JTI) is one of the leaders of global tobacco market. JTI produces about 90 world-known cigarette brands including top-selling Winston, Camel and Mild Seven.

We are pleased to open the position of a Finance Manager based in Baku.

Main responsibilities:

• Supervise Accounting function to ensure company taxation and reporting are in line with local legislation;
• Support alignment of local ERP system with Tbilisi HQ ERP system for corporate and Georgian statutory purposes;
• Manage the process of company budgets planning / revision (ASP / LE). Provide support to budget owners to facilitate quality planning and ensure cost drivers understanding;
• Provide profound analysis of actual expenses vs. plans / prior years. Implement regular expenses review to ensure budgets are utilized efficiently;
• Facilitate establishment of proper control and efficiency environment within the company (maintaining internal controls established by HQ, ensuring employees are aware of these controls and understand them). Control of compliance with global and local policies and procedures;
• Ensure company financial statements reported to Tbilisi HQ are in line with IFRS. Manage changes in accounting system driven by local and corporate requirements. Support internal and external audit;
• Lead Finance function in Azerbaijan: ensure department is properly staffed, identify and plan long and mid-term priorities, facilitate team development.

Requirements:

• Education: University degree in economics, finance, accounting, economy cybernetic or technical disciplines;
• Work experience: Minimum 3 years in a Finance department in an international company. Excellent analytical & communication skills. Management experience. Experience with multinational FMCGs would be a plus;
• Languages skills: fluency in Azeri, strong English and Russian (written and spoken);
• Computer Proficiency: PC literacy: Excellent knowledge of Excel. 1C experience is a plus;
• Personal characteristics: ability to integrate into a team of professionals and to cooperate as a full member; travel, when necessary; ability to work under pressure.
