Reservoir Engineer
1. Role Responsibilities:
• Prepares various production profiles, development schemes of the field and participates in selection of optimal development plan;
• Provides field’s hydrodynamic modeling strategy;
• Manages and participates in reservoir simulation , information analysis, model development, history match and production forecast;
• Performs elimination of complex reservoir problems and uncertainties through special hydrodynamic modeling techniques;
• Participates in selection and implementation of Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods;
• Prepares and reviews the reports on geological events, monthly and annual production wells;
• Collects oil, gas and water production data, and forecasting annually gas-condensate production;
• Prepares quarterly and annual reports on technological characteristics of field development;
• Participates in current and future planning of gas-condensate production, and finalizing the exploration of gas fields;
• Prepares maintenance plan of current and future wells and orders the materials required for the well maintenance;
• Performs surveillance and periodic analysis of gas-condensate field development;
• Conducts initial documentation based on the information from gas production, drilling, geophysical and hydrodynamic research;
• Controls the quality and volume of conducted research , maintenance and performance of production and injection wells;
• Implements suggestions on field development, their exploration and enhancement;
• Organizes registration and storage of geological data;
• Registers petrophysical surveys in wells and reservoirs;
• Analyses and registers the data from drilled wells on catalogue and development map;
• Registers well test data on logging diagram;
• Prepares documents according to the request of the management;
• Participates in meetings, seminars and conferences under the authority of the department;
• Follows the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) rules;
• Performs assignments by the head of the department.
2. Required to know:
• Decree and orders of State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic, its geology and exploitation methodological and regulatory leading materials;
• Hydrodynamic modeling of the field and well design;
• Geomodelling (Static);
• Any of the of following reservoir simulation softwares: ECLIPSE, VIP NEXUS, TEMPEST and etc.
• Any of the of the following geomodelling softwares: PETREL, RMS, GOCAD and etc.
• Geology of the oil-gas region and field, and field development techniques;
• Industry standards on the crude product,
• Well techniques on field research and geophysical survey;
• Field development plan (FDP) and its analysis methods;
• Methods of drilling and exploitation of the wells;
• Principles and methods of enhancing reservoir productivity;
• Fundamentals ofcurrent and substantial well maintenance and drilling technologies;
• Setting up graphical and geological documentation and principles and methods of processing log data;
• Prompt data collection on geological measures, gas factor of horizons and fields, oil and gas production, and well database;
• Preparing the quarterly and annual account of the technological characteristics of field development;
• Preparing the information on the current state of field development;
• Ensuring the information is provided accurately and on time;
• Economic activity and long-term development plan of “SOCAR-Umid” LLC;
• Job responsibility;
• Internal discipline rules;
• Computer skills;
• Preparation and registration of documents;
• Health Safety and Environment (HSE) rules.
