Essential criteria & qualifications

• Bachelor Degree with preference for an Engineering discipline (petroleum)`
• 10 +years direct operations management experience and some general management experience
• Technical skills and experience in the off-shore and or upstream Oil and Gas Market
• Minimum of 5 years of upper level management experience
• Experience participating and/or overseeing joint ventures
• Experience in the former Soviet Union
• Strong leadership skills coupled with team management
• Excellent analytical skills, decisive, adaptable, ethical, and a team player
• Highly developed presentation skills and ability to interact effectively with senior government officials and senior management of organizations
• Commercially sensitive with a strong customer and commercial focus coupled with the ability to drive and lead change.

Desirable criteria & qualifications

• Verbal & written communication skills
• Excellent people skills, including people management
• Fluent in Russian, English (preference for Azeri language skills)
