Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handles the correspondence following ICRC correspondence and protocol guidelines, drafts and types letters in English and Azerbaijani languages, except when strictly confidential
  • Translate correspondence from English to Azerbaijani and vice versa
  • Takes minutes of working meeting upon request 
  • Ensures information flow within the Delegation and with other departments of the delegation/ other ICRC structures and, under supervision, with external interlocutors
  • Files records and non-records upon supervision of manager for the department according to a given plan
  • Supports management of appointments and organization of internal and external meetings and events updating management’s calendar, including logistical aspects 
  • Performs secretarial tasks independently 
  • Orders ICRC visual identity items, maintains the stock efficiently 
  • Performs other related duties as required.

About you:

To be successful Administrative Assistant, you should possess the following qualifications and experience and have the following characteristics:

  • University Degree and certification in relevant (preferably) area. 
  • Minimum 2 years of total work experience in the same area.
  • Fluency of English and Azerbaijani languages, any other language locally spoken is an asset
  • Excellent computer literacy,
  • Very good communication and proven reporting skills,
  • Good rigor, method and analytical skills,
  • Cultural awareness and commitment to encourage diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

You should be flexible, enthusiastic and have the willingness to learn from others. You should also be able to work independently, as well as work effectively under supervision. You should have the ability to establish and maintain positive working relations in a multi-cultural and multi-departmental environment.
