Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Occupational health

  • Support the provision of occupational health within the business, under the direction of the of HSEQ Manager
  • Support the communication and promotion of the monthly themes
  • Promote the value of occupational health at a local level Advice and support
  • Provide consistent and accurate QHSE advice to employees
  • Provide support to business units on HSEQ initiatives
  • Provide support on HSE issues/problems Communications
  • Contribute to general communications at a local level
  • Produce and communicate safety alerts following incidents to promote learning and prevention
  • Deliver HSE Induction to all Turan Drilling and other service company employees as required
  • Produce regional HSE statistics on a monthly basis, identify trends and take proactive initiatives Incident investigations
  • Undertake timely investigations
  • Keep local and corporate management and client informed on status
  • Identify root causes
  • Produce safety alerts as above
  • Administer internal and external safety alerts

Key Skills/Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Recognised Safety qualification / University Degree
  • NEBOSH – general certificate or equivalent is desirable
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certificate is desirable Minimum experience:
  • Experience working in offshore QHSE field (desirable)
  • 3+ years of experience in HSE field

Generic skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Extensive experience in Oil and Gas field
  • Excellent report writing skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills 
  • Negotiating skills to convince managers of the need to implement and maintain safety standards that may compromise speed or efficiency in the organisation
  • The ability to understand and analyse complex information and present it simply and accurately
  • An investigative mind
  • Physical fitness, as work will involve time on offshore platforms or on outdoor sites.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Client facing experience
  • Computer literate with sound knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office package
