Position: Monitoring and Reporting Specialist

As an international aid organization, World Vision works in nearly 100 countries around the globe, combating the root causes of poverty and responding quickly when disaster strikes.  We partner with communities to find lasting ways of improving the lives of children and their families while providing disaster relief.  In 1994, World Vision began operations in Azerbaijan in response to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict; we provided assistance to refugees, IDPs and other vulnerable peoples in the form of shelter rehabilitation, supplementary food distribution, income generation, water and sanitation and agriculture development.  Since that time, World Vision Azerbaijan has expanded its presence to include development programming and advocacy work related to vulnerable children: children with disabilities and children housed in residential institutions. 

Both in Azerbaijan and across CEE/CIS countries, World Vision is partnering with government to provide solutions to the challenges of child welfare reform.      

The overarching purpose of the Monitoring and Reporting Specialist is to assist the execution and implementation of various activities within the Design, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) unit. To ensure that the projects are monitored, evaluated, and reported according to World Vision standards. The incumbent will work with project/program managers to refine and integrate current program activities, as well as design & draft innovative initiatives that complement existing programming (in line with the Country Strategy).

Qualified candidates will possess a university degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in the social sciences / international development / statistics.

She/He should have at least 3 years work experience in the development field, preferably with international NGOs. Experience in writing sound monitoring & evaluation reports is essential. Proven record in the preparation of project proposals and successful attainment of international grants is preferred.

Most critical to this position, the qualified candidate will possess excellent analytical, reporting, writing, and public speaking (presentation) skills.  She/He should display excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively when writing and speaking, across cultures and at senior levels.  Fluency in English and Azerbaijani is essential.
