Duties and Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for critical functions within the Department and capable of mentoring and assisting employees within the department;  
• To review, analyze and eliminate all errors and inconsistencies made in the financial records, documents and reports; 
• To review payables, receivables and weekly performance inspections and inform Department Manager in timely manner;
• To prepare the documents and the assist in accompanying schedules for annual financial audit; 
• To analyze the transaction processes and identifies the fields that need additional accuracy and effectiveness;  
• To coordinate the monitoring of fixed assets system;
• To complie with internal and external deadlines;
• To be responsible for accuracy and timely implementation of the internal control  and cost control processes by the plant management;
• To assist in the development of annual budgets;
• To coordinate the process of monthly closing, making of accruals and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts;
• To be responsible for all tax obligations and declarations of the Company;
• To parcitipate in preparation of different accounting procedures;
• To assist in the preparation of monthly management reports and consolidated reports under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); 
• To co-operate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits;
• To keep records of the accounts system and all transactions and assets of the Company;

Minimum qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
• At least 5 years of experience as Chief Accountant in a reputable  company, O&G preferable
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Azerbaijan Tax Code
• Have an international accounting certifications:  ACCA, CPA, CIMA or like
• Have working experience with SAP or like ERP
• Have good communication and presentation skills
