Position: Legal Counsel
 
Main Requirements to Candidate:
 
•   Work experience preferably in oilfield
•   Fluent English/Russian/Azerbaijani
•   Must be able to work cooperatively with senior legal staff
•   Must be enthusiastic and should take initiative.
•   Must be able to prioritize work and be well organized

Main Responsibilities:

•      Executing the legal procedures to establish the privileges, obligations, and rights of the organization as per Company policy requirement.
•      Arranging and assessing all types of legal documents like contracts, leases, licenses, sales, purchases, and real estate etc.
•      Gathering information and evidences for helping the management make decisions
•      Studying legal information to know the suitability for prosecuting or defending a lawsuit.
•      Conducting preparations before and defending the organization in law cases.
•      Examining material like publications, advertisements etc., for legal allegations.
•      Representing the organization before quasi-judicial bodies of the government.
•      Advising on state regulations, tax matters, and legal rights.
•      Preparing contracts, resolve labor issues, manage legal matters, and handle taxes.
•      Advising on business transactions related to internal affairs, directors, executives, stockholders, and corporate relationship with public.
•      Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management
•      Review and advice management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
•      Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements
•      Review all contracts or any other documentation where the Company has committed itself and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the executive management’s attention.
•      Prepare, review and modify contractual instruments to assist and support various business activities.
•      Negotiate, review and draft documentation for business transactions and prepare and advise on the necessary checklist to be adopted to ensure information is submitted on time.
