Job Title Mechanical Engineer

Key aims and objectives

· To continue developing experience, expertise and confidence in technical areas with context of company’s administrative and technical procedures

· To prepare, develop and maintain the full range of Mechanical Engineering Design deliverables to a high standard using Corporate Procedures / Software where applicable, Industry Codes and best practice. To achieve this on schedule and within budget.

Prime responsibilities and duties

· Preparation of Mechanical design including front end, detail design and close out deliverables, as directed and supervised by the Principal and Senior Mechanical Engineers

All other engineering disciplines to ensure overall design quality, budget and schedule is met

Key external interfaces

Liaise with BP Engineering and Operations for input to Mechanical design (where applicable) under guidance of senior and principal engineers

Liaise with vendors and suppliers (under guidance of senior and principal engineers) to obtain design information

Core competencies

· Computer literate.

· Knowledge of relevant industry Codes and Standards

· Good communication skills

· Able to work as part of a multi- disciplinary team

· Able to focus attention on delivering quality Design Deliverables on schedule and within budget
