We have open temporary (outsource) position for Legal Associate based in Baku city.
Legal Associate is responsible to provide full in-house legal support to JTI entity in Azerbaijan. Under direction of Legal Director & Country Manager an employee provides full scope of legal advisory services to other functions,
is responsible for contract drafting and lifecycle management, monitors compliance of business activities with company policies and procedures as well as local regulations, provides regular legal updates to other functions as applicable as will as trainings or workshops.
Main areas of responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to the following:
- Drafting, reviewing and managing all types of contracts necessary for company operations including but not limited to operational contracts, purchase of goods and services, lease agreements, service agreements with retail outlets and key accounts, employment contracts etc;
- Legal advice on local regulations specifically applicable to import, distribution, sales, advertising and marketing of tobacco and reduced risk products;
- Ensure quality control and compliance of the business operations with JTI standards as well as local regulations;
- Represent company interests before state bodies when necessary under the supervision of Legal Director & Country Head;
- Ensure that electronic contract approval process is in line with Contract Management Policy and software is functions well. Timely initiate software updates to increase efficiency and speed as well as respond users' needs.
Candidate requirements:
Education: University degree in Law;
Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience. Experience at an International FMCG company is a plus.
Language Skills: Azerbaijan- native, English – fluent, Russian - good;
Skills: Excellent contract drafting skills, communication skills, organizational and problem-solving abilities, ability to work with a group of people;
Functional Skills: good in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
