Job Title – 3D Cad Coordinator

In March 2015 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and KBR announced an agreement to establish a new engineering and support services company in Azerbaijan. The legal entity name of the new company is SOCAR-KBR LLC and provides design, engineering, technical, procurement, construction supervision and project management services for projects across the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas sectors, in the Azerbaijan – Georgia – Turkey (AGT) region. The key objective of this strong partnership is to create a world class Azerbaijan-based EPCm services company that will utilize the strengths of both organisations and deliver top quality results by utilising, developing and promoting Azerbaijani national content. The company has a long term commitment from both organisations.
Primary Role and Responsibilities:
The role of the CAD coordinator is to control and manage the 3D model, workshare with other offices and set-up and run related applications for engineering use. These roles are required to enable the development of the onshore and offshore facilities of the Umid 2 and Babek Development Project. Such facilities currently comprise:
• Onshore Terminal at Dashgil to process and deliver gas and condensate to the local market.
• Umid 2 Offshore Platforms comprising separate bridge linked Process / Drilling and Quarters / Utilities Platforms
• Babek Offshore Platform comprising a single wellhead platform exporting gas / condensate to Umid 2
The design of the above facilities will be developed in 3D CAD software (Aveva E3D) and shall reach a maturity suitable for the Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) phase.
Responsibilities will include:
• Manage the E3D model DB’s
• Performing clash checking using CLASH MANAGER
• Setting up applications to suit project needs
• Setting up the environment for deliverables
• Manage all SRO applications
• Manage Aveva Global for work share in multi-offices environment
• Setting up and running Model reviews both internal and client
• Coordinating layout/design activities for all disciplines involved in 3D modelling
• Provide user support / training of E3D and KBR SRO sw tools
• Reporting from 3D model regarding progress, object engineering and MTO
• Setting up and managing the Aveva Engineering DBs
Qualifications:
• Industry recognized engineering and design qualification(s).
Experience Required:
• 20 years plus experience in the design of offshore and onshore
• 15 years experience with Aveva 2D/3D software incl. PML programming
