Service Engineer- Trainee

Purpose
Represent the quality of all products of company, help others to provide technical assistance to clients and perform/oversee field installations and repairs.
Accountabilities
■ Assist others to provide installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair services in shop or field environment on DRT equipment
■ Coordinate with assigned mentor for required parts, materials, support, etc.
■ Document all services performed and actions carried out on service and time tickets
■ Stay current on information contained in Product and Safety Bulletins
■ Stay current on information with DRT mechanical procedures
■ Ensure that all work performed is handled according to procedures and guidelines
■ Interact with customers and other company personnel in a professional manner
■ Perform all work in accordance with company and client safety policies
■ Complete all work in compliance with company and customer’s policies and procedures for HSSE
■ Be guided by company Visions and Values in all activities
■ Employee may be requested to operate company vehicle for business purposes

Competence requirements
■ BS or higher in an Engineering discipline
■ Software handling, troubleshooting, and programming skills
■ Proficient in basic electrical circuits and components
■ Ability to read schematic and layout drawings
■ Ability to work for long periods and in extreme environmental conditions
■ Good analytical skills
■ Competent with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
■ Written and reading comprehension of English
■ Excellent verbal communication skills
■ Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
■ Ability to take initiative and be accountable for own decisions and actions
■ Ability to focus on and bring to conclusion to multiple tasks
■ Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
■ Ability to pre-empt situations and react positively
