Is announcing a vacancy for the position of Software Release and Deployment Specialist:
General Description
Completes the overall release and quality assurance process, and ensures releases are implemented according to schedule and deployment/rollback plans.
Duties:
- Completes the overall release and quality assurance process. This includes but is not limited to: building, testing, and delivering services to the customer or end users specified by service design, ensuring expectations have been met or exceeded.
- Find,check and optimise database SQL queries.
- Works closely and communicates regularly with appropriate management to coordinate work between teams to ensure releases are implemented according to schedule. Communicates project plans, changes, and commitments throughout the release management process while ensuring all required release documentation is validated and traceable.
- Documents and governs all mitigation of risk. Determines whether a risk associated with a process or application is deemed acceptable for live production based on the functional needs of the process or application.
- Defines and develops detailed deployment and rollback plans, updating the plans continuously to reflect changes that may develop during testing. Ensures all release and deployment packages can be tracked, installed, tested, verified, and/or uninstalled or backed out.
- Manages code security, source code, and application versioning.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance. Reads, writes, and communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable rules, regulations, and laws.
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
- A university degree in computer science or related field;
- Advanced knowledge in PL/SQL, SQL;
- Analytical thinking ability;
- Presentation skills in delivering an idea in a structured manner;
- Good knowledge of Technical English;
- Team Player –part of a larger team;
- Detail oriented
- Flexible – The environment is highly dynamic. You will be expected to keep up with the changing environment while ensuring a high level of operational effectiveness
- Any certificate in the field of release and deployment management is a plus.
