In March 2015 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and KBR announced an agreement to establish a new engineering and support services company in Azerbaijan.  The legal entity name of the new company is SOCAR-KBR LLC and provides design, engineering, technical, procurement, construction supervision and project management services for projects across the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas sectors, in the Azerbaijan – Georgia – Turkey (AGT) region.  The key objective of this strong partnership is to create a world class Azerbaijan-based EPCm services company that will utilize the strength of both organizations and deliver top quality results by utilizing, developing and promoting Azerbaijani national content. The company has a long term commitment from both organisations.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

- Ensuring the shutdowns turnaround are managed and delivered to project technical satisfaction.
- Ensure the EPCM contractors are managed within the contract scope with respect to the engineering deliverables, construction, completion and commissioning activities.
- Coordination of EPCM construction team ensuring regular communications are conducted with the team.
- The PMC contract is being completed in accordance with project stipulated standards. All EPCM work scopes are being properly performed under the control, safety and quality standards and expectations set by the client.
- Identifying areas of concern with respect to progress of the Project and recommending the corrective actions wherever required.
- Regularly review construction plans, philosophies, execution methods and schedules to identify areas of concern and provide effective - Construction Management measures.
- Provide Construction technical support throughout the duration of a project.
- Manage the EPCM Contractor in providing a discipline materials plan that supports turnaround planning and execution.
- Manage the EPCM Contractor and assist in the monitoring and managing of their activities as the work progresses, working closely with them to progressively improve performance.
- Identifying areas of concern with respect to Construction
- Shutdown progress of the Project and recommending corrective actions wherever required.

Qualifications:

• Industry recognized engineering qualification(s).

Experience Required:

• 7 plus years Construction Coordination experience in various project teams within the oil and gas industry. Design and execution experience of Coordination on large projects. General construction and management skills, including skills in planning, scheduling and cost management. Experience in project management for medium sized projects from design to construction.
