Structural Design Engineer (Sacs Software)

Job Summary:

Structural Design Engineer will have a range of technical abilities, from the use of engineering and design software such as SACS, through to understanding of topographical, geophysical and geotechnical issues and be familiar with thought processes for greenfield and brownfield sites and able to work with Smart Plant Review (SPR), or any other forms of software unsupervised to review engineering progress.

Job Function:

• Analysis of structural members with the use of SACS (Structural Analysis Computer Systems) for Platform (Topside & Jacket).
• Carried out In-place Analysis, Lifting Analysis and Barge Transportation Analysis and Load out Analysis.
• Review & Issue 2-D Structural Drawings for primary steel (Approved for Construction).
• Review & Issue 2-D Structural Drawings for primary steel (Approved for Issue).
• Prepare structural Design Reports for Inplace Analysis, Lifting Analysis and Transportation Analysis.
• Prepare structural Design Reports for Loadout Analysis.
• Carry out structural calculation to prepare structural Design Reports
• Design Reports for the analyses carried out.
• Supervise and Coordinate Civil/Structural Discipline Activities for the design of foundations for tanks, pumps and other equipments as provided on the Export Terminal and along the pipelines.
• Prepared Structural Design Philosophy, Civil Engr'g Design Spec., Structural Engr'g Design Spec. and other Specifications.
• Carried out calculation for secondary members sizing.

Experience:

• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience on various projects of design of Fixed Jackets, Topsides.
• BS in Civil Engineering with 10  years' minimum industrial experience
• Candidate will have a full understanding  processes for greenfield and brownfield sites and the implication on the engineering of both progress.
• Candidate will be structural focused but have a capacity to support associated disciplines, such as, but not exclusively, Architectural and Building Services.

Job type: full-time

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30 am – 17:30pm, 5 working days a week.
