Position: Head of Technical Project Management Unit
Main responsibilities
• To manage the team of Technical Project Managers and Project Controller
• Stay as responsible interface and represent Network function in front of other support offices (procurement, legal, finance, etc.)
• To proper assign, distribute & manage tasks/role to team members and ensure that all members understand the team’s objectives and work together to achieve it
• To manage initiatives and projects within operations plan (from initiation to service delivery operations)
• Manage Unit daily technology projects as well as executive requests within the given target time frame and budget
• Coordinate and consolidate reporting from various departments for executive reporting
• Define scope of projects and clear strategy of project implementation for the staff
• Plan, execute and track Project Activities to ensure project deliverables completed on time; Develop general PIP, reports and identify inter-project dependencies
• Ensure smooth project implementation
• Ensure to fulfill requirements of project stakeholders
• To function as contact for problem analysis and resolution
• Coordinate and support project acceptance stage ensuring all scope requirements are implemented and all required documentation is submitted further for approvals
• To assist in implementing new processes and procedures as well as to suggest changes and improvements for optimal solution for most efficient inter department communication
• To submit regular reports to Head of Department and follow-up on PPM Dashboards
• To carry out other tasks related to the position assigned by management
Qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this position
Education
• Higher education.
• Degree in a technical subject (Telecommunications, IT, Electronic Engineering) will be an advantage
• Business Administration (MBA is an advantage)
• PMP and / or Prince 2 certification will be an advantage
Experience
• 3-5 years of significant relevant experience in telecom
• Technology Project Management experience
• Understanding of telecom network
• Understanding of financial, procurement, logistics principles
Computer skills: Advanced user of MS Office (knowledge of MS Project & MS Excel & MS Visio is a must)
Languages
• Fluent knowledge of Azerbaijani and English languages
• Russian will be a plus
