IT Senior VAS Engineer
Role and Main responsibilities:
• To perform job tasks while ensuring high customer satisfaction with services provided by IT to internal and external customers.
• To participate in End-to-end planning, development and delivery of Data, Messaging and VAS platforms and related Services according to SDLC principles
• To participate in development of Data, Messaging and VAS Services in line with IT Development Plan and Roadmap
• To ensure VAS Services are developed according to Business requirements
• To ensure the Data, Messaging and VAS Platforms and Services are delivered, integrated and installed according to the requirements
• To perform System Acceptance tests and system verification after Software and Hardware Upgrades and after implementing new VAS
• To escalate to IT Head of DTMS and VAS Development SubUnit any issues, as required
• To analyze proposals and investigate possibilities for implementation of new VAS
• To follow current Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Required skills, qualifications and competencies:
• Problem solving skills
• Prompt
• Knowledge of Azerbaijani (fluent), Russian (fluent) and English (pre-intermediate) languages
• Knowledge of programming language is preferable
• Proficiency in software tools required to perform the job tasks
• Experience in working with 3GPP standards
• Knowledge of VAS and related architecture
• Knowledge of protocols used in VAS, cellular and computer networks (SIGTRAN, MAP, TCP/IP protocol family, Camel, xml, DCC, SMPP etc)
• Knowledge and experience in administration, engineering, configuration and management of Data, Messaging and VAS and Service Delivery platforms
• Experience in development VAS
• Working knowledge of Linux and SQL
• Understanding of DB architecture
Required education and work experience:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Electronic Engineering/Telecom related field or significant relevant experience (minimum 2 years) is a must
• Experience in Data, Messaging and Value Added Services, solutions and platforms development, engineering, implementation and integration – minimum 2 years
