Position: Head of Financial Accounting and Reporting of Subsidiaries
Division: Finance
Line manager: Deputy to CFO
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities
• To analyze the existing financial situation of subsidiaries in fixed line business and prepare gap analysis regarding ERP and MIS system, accounting procedures and policies, existing finance teams, financial control mechanisms, statutory accounting, document flow, contracts, budgeting and other finance related issues
• To prepare short-term and long term plan/road-map for building strong financial system including financial control, MIS, accounting procedures and ERP consolidation
• To supervise the transition of the accounting system to accrual based accounting and to US GAAP reporting
• To monitor daily financial activities of the firms in fixed line business
• To supervise monthly and yearly financial reporting processes and present the relevant analysis to the management
• To supervise the budgeting process in subsidiaries and present to senior management
• To assist the management with any subsidiary related issues and coordinate the processes with the teams in subsidiaries
• To coordinate the financial consolidation process according to long-term strategy of the management
• To prepare analysis for ad-hoc projects and present to senior management
• To assist line manager in any other financial issues related to subsidiaries
Qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this position
Education
• University Degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent fields (MBA is an advantage)
Experience
• 3+ years of work experience in Accounting, Finance or Audit
Computer skills
• MS Office Programmes (Advanced knowledge of Excel)
• Ability to work with ERP systems
Languages
• Fluent knowledge of Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages
