Amec Foster Wheeler is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for Senior Project Engineer (National)

The successful candidates should have the following capabilities:

• Higher Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Min 10 years’ experience in similar role.
• Communication, Cultural awareness, Judgement, Open mindedness, Self-management, Team working.
• High safety awareness is mandatory.
• A good knowledge of planning and planning systems
• Cost control awareness & management

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• Demonstrate safety leadership at all times
• Deputises for the Delivery Lead
• Ensures project procedures are adhered to at all times
• Responsible for managing a project throughout its life (from cradle to grave)
• Produce SOR’s in line with new project initiations
• Ensures cost reports are timely and accurate
• Administer Engineering queries
• Manage individual project risks and ownership of the risk register.
• Interfaces with the design team in production of engineering deliverables.
• Ensures procured items are procured to the latest BP specs & ETP’s.
• Ensures that sub contracts are approved and in place prior to mobilisation of vendors.
• Conduct offshore safety audits
• Responsible for liaising with the BP Operations
• Ensure compliance with the Small Projects Common Process (SPcp)
• Ensure compliance with the QMS
• Manage and Implement changes via the PCR process
• Monitor costs and, if necessary, raise additional budget via the PCR process
• Ensure time writing codes and WBS’s are available to the engineering disciplines
• Apply rigorous change control procedures
• Monitor progress of design deliverables
• Approve/challenge Discipline CTR’s
• Hold kick off meetings, design reviews and performance meetings
• Manage all engineering activities associated within each phase ie; design, development, materials, fabrications, contracts, implementation, commissioning and handover; including liaison with other Project Engineers in line with established asset priorities.
• Provide input to the project KPI report
• Perform commercial reviews
• Challenge and improve working practices and Procedures
• Manage follow on engineering i.e. Technical Queries (TQ’s) and Engineering Queries (EQ’s), PCR’s.  Planned Maintenance Routines (PMR), Weight Control and Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) aspects are completed and recorded.
• Complete Commercial/Technical Close-Out
• Publicise Engineering achievements
• Hold lessons learned review and record lessons (positive & negative)
